ALPHA-RLH receives the visit from Pierre Moscovi

The French comptitiveness cluster ALPHA - Route des Lasers & des Hyperfréquences hosted Mr Pierre Moscovi, European Commissioner in charge of Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs at the European Commission on October, 24th.

The European Commissioner took advantage of its visit in the Bordeaux area to meet part of the animation team , as well as  members of the cluster. Pierre Moscovici had the chance to visit LP2N, a Joined Research Unit (JRU 5298) between Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), University of Bordeaux and CNRS as well as ALPhANOV, a technological centre for optics and photonics. The European Commissioner also had the opportunity to visist the IOA, the Optic Institute of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region where the offices of the cluster are located. The tour included a visit of the innovation space for students in optics and photonics to allow them to test ther ideas.

The visit of Pierre Moscovi took place in a very convivial atmosphere and allowed ALPHA-RLH to present its ecosystem. ALPHA-RLH is looking forward to deepen its linkages with the European Commission with regards to cluster policies and innovation.
