PhotonHub Europe

The project

PhotonHub Europe is a European project that aims to establish an EU-wide one-stop shop for photonics innovation. The project integrates 53 partners offering the best photonics technologies, facilities, expertise and experience from all over Europe.

The services

The PhotonHub one-stop-shop offers a comprehensive range of business support to accelerate the adoption and deployment of photonics. PhotonHub provides European companies, in particular SMEs and "non-photonic" mid-sized companies, with services to help them become early adopters and users of photonics:

- training and development opportunities at PhotonHub's demonstration and experience centres across Europe, enhanced by digital e-learning tools;

- 'test before you invest' innovation support capabilities to engage with companies in highly collaborative innovation projects aimed at accelerating TRL from prototyping (TRL3-4) to manufacturing (TRL7-8), which take the form of indirect financial support, and are complemented by targeted business and intellectual property advice;

- investment search assistance through investment readiness coaching and investor matchmaking, organised in collaboration with key regional and European forums.
