Collaborative projects: the primary objective of phase 3.0 of the competitiveness cluster strategy

During phase 1.0, the objective set for cluster management teams was to bring together research, training and industrial organizations from a specific economic sector in a given area and support them to work collaboratively. Three years later, clusters were encouraged to become ‘project factories’ with the launch of phase 2.0. This phase lasted four years and helped to stimulate many innovative collaborative projects with industrial applications. It is therefore a logical step that, for phase 3.0, clusters now have to turn these projects into commercial products, enabling companies and regions to increase not only their turnover, but also jobs and social cohesion.
