ALPHA-RLH, Photonics France, and SAT4SPACE brought together industry and scientific experts on October 15 and 16, 2025, for two days dedicated to photonic technologies applied to space. Held in the magnificent setting of Château Carbonnieux in Léognan near Bordeaux, the event attracted more than 100 participants.
Two themes dominated the conferences: ground-based space photonics and in-flight space photonics, which have applications in many sectors such as the environment, agriculture, science, defense, telecommunications, security and cybersecurity, transportation, astronomy, and more.
We had the pleasure of welcoming two keynote speakers from CNES and the European Space Agency (ESA), as well as speakers from ONERA, ArianeGroup, Thales Alenia Space, Exail, CILAS, AUREA Technology, and others, including the law firm SPACEAVOCAT, which gave a presentation on the law in the service of space exploration.
An exhibitor area allowed 18 companies to showcase their technologies and products.
The event concluded with a visit to the IMS (Material Integration into Systems) laboratory and Exail, a company specializing in cutting-edge technologies in robotics, maritime navigation, aerospace, and photonics.
Thank you to our sponsors Exail, OptoSigma, and Edmund Optics for their support.
