As part of the national strategy for#electronics and the #France2030 plan, the Ministry of the Economy and the Ministry of Industry are launching a call for projects to select French participants in the #PIIEC (Project of Common European Interest) dedicated to AST (Advanced Semiconductor Technologies).
This European program, with a budget of 550 M€, aims to support strategic R&D and industrialization projects through enhanced cooperation between industry and research organizations. France’s participation, announced by the President of the Republic last May, is intended to foster the development of the electronic technologies of the future.
This ambitious project, supported by national funding coordinated among the participating member states, covers 7️⃣ major technological areas:
- AI chips and accelerators
- Chiplets, heterogeneous integration, and advanced packaging
- Integrated Photonic Circuits and Advanced Photonics
- Disruptive Sensors for Autonomous Vehicles
- Power Electronics and Energy Efficiency
- Secure communication technologies—quantum and secure optical communications.
- Enabling Technologies for the Semiconductor Value Chain
