In a context that is more uncertain than ever, and at a time when heating needs remain central to our energy consumption, district heating networks are emerging as key drivers of resilience for local communities.
At the intersection of climate, economic, and social issues, they are an essential pillar of the energy transition.
RDCs are a powerful tool for local policies:
- Reduction in CO2 emissions
- Securing energy supplies
- Cost control for users
- Utilization of local resources
- Enhancing the region's appeal and resilience
- District heating systems are the heating method best suited to transitioning to new energy sources on a large scale and making use of locally available energy sources.
The goal of this event—which consists of a morning conference, a networking session during a luncheon reception, and an afternoon site visit—is to provide elected officials with a clear and practical understanding of the opportunities offered by district heating networks as tools for decarbonizing regions.
