NewSkin

The project

The NewSkin project aims to create an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB), a new legal entity that will provide the European innovation ecosystem with the technologies, resources and services needed to adopt a set of innovative, efficient and profitable processes to manufacture industrial products, as well as the testing capabilities needed to demonstrate the characteristics of surface nanotechnology products.

This project is led by the ECCS and is composed of 35 partners from 12 countries, including ALPHA-RLH (France).

Technology transfers financed by NewSkin

With a budget of 15 millions euros, the project supports the transfer of different surface technologies such as laser, CVD, PVD and Sol-Gel treatments. These treatments can be tested in real environments thanks to the infrastructures made available (climate chambers, off-shore platforms, tests in industrial environments).

47 companies and laboratories in Europe, including 6 members of the ALPHA-RLH cluster, already benefit from these transfers financed entirely by NewSkin.

The open calls

Calls are open until June 23, 2023 to benefit from this system and collaborate with the CRTs of the project. Each project can obtain a service whose cost is equivalent to €60,000. NewSkin will be able to finance up to 25 additional projects.

Register on the NewSkin platform for more information on open calls.
